Ashlee Morrison has a secret obsession—with a dark and mysterious male. The only problem is that he’s a wolf and she’s becoming convinced that she’s insane. But Ashlee’s wolf is no ordinary canine; he is Tristan Kane, third son in the royal family of the Westervelt Wolf pack.
Trapped in his wolf form by his evil father’s men, Tristan has desperately sought a way out of predicament and is shocked to find that the sad but beautiful redhead who has come to the wolf cage can not only hear him, but awakens in him the knowledge that she is his mate, the other half of his soul.
Ashlee, unaware that she is half wolf-shifter, agrees to accompany Tristan back to his pack in Maine to seek answers to her past and understand her future. But as Tristan and Ashlee grow closer, familial betrayals will threaten to destroy the fragile love they have started to build.
With the odds stacked against them, Ashlee and Tristan will either embrace their love to save the Westervelt Wolves or be lost forever to despair.
This story had me captivated from the first page. From its wonderful characters to its action packed climax, Her Wolf is a beautiful tale of love and trust.
Poor Ashlee Morrison thinks she is loosing her mind, especially with her latest obsession: wolves. And not just any wolf, a specific one that is houses at the zoo she volunteers at. Little does she know that this particular wolf is actually the prince of a wolf shape shifter pack.
His name is Tristan and he recognizes Ashlee as his mate but is stuck in wolf form and unable to shift back because of an evil spell cast by his father's men. Tristan must find a way to convince Ashlee to free him from the zoo and go back with him to his pack.
Back at the pack, Tristan is struck down by another spell. Ashlee must believe in their love and trust in herself as she tries to save Tristan and the rest of the packs males. Will the help of the pack and her family be enough? Can they defeat the witch and Tristan's evil father?
Rebecca Royce had me cheering for Ashlee and Tristan. The story had this reader glued to the pages. It was so full of twists and turns I kept reading, wanting to know what was coming up next. It was beautiful to see the love and the bond that formed between Ashley and Tristan.I truly enjoyed watching Ashlee come into her own. She definitely became a woman to be reckoned with. Seeing the pack and its acceptance of Ashlee and her family was endearing. And the bantering between the pack members and brothers was great. I certainly cannot wait to read more adventures of the Westervelt Wolves. The author skillfully introduced a pack full of three-dimensional characters that I came to love.
This book is definitely a must read. It had a great flow and lots of action. I loved seeing a female come in to her own and take charge and have an Alpha male at her side to protect, cherish and love her. If you enjoy your reads with lots of magic and action this is the book for you and once you finished reading this book I'm more than certain you'll be looking for more on the Westervelt pack.
